Unit4, a fast growing leader in enterprise applications for service organizations, today announced the appointment of Erik Tiden as Chief Technology Officer.
Erik will be responsible for implementing Unit4’s product vision across the full product lifecycle comprising product management, application architecture, and research and development for all Unit4 solutions. He will lead Unit4’s innovation team at a time of significant investment in technology and innovation at the company. Last year Unit4 committed to doubling R&D capacity to accelerate innovation efforts. The first results of that investment were announced in March when Unit4 launched The People Platform as the foundation for all Unit4 business applications.
«Technology and innovation sit at the heart of Unit4’s culture and ambitions to deliver excellence to customers and play a key part in their success,” said Jose Duarte, Unit4 CEO. “Erik takes a prominent role at an exciting time when digital technology is transforming services organizations and encouraging new ways of working.”
Erik joins Unit4 from Microsoft where he was General Manager responsible for the global Microsoft Dynamics’ cloud and on-premise business for small and medium-sized businesses. Prior to that he served as Vice President Engineering, Business Solutions at Hewlett Packard and also held several executive roles at SAP. Erik holds a PhD in computer science from the Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden, and an MBA from the Mannheim Business School, Mannheim, Germany.
“Delivering the Unit4 People Platform and the next generation of self-driving ERP requires R&D that delivers a strong, continuous stream of easy-to consume innovation based on leading edge technology,” said Erik. “I very much look forward to working with Unit4’s world class products and people to deliver this stream of innovation to services organizations and their people all over the planet. We have a real opportunity to differentiate and create huge value for our customers and partners.”
